It is much slower due to the road condition and we need to go thru a small town.
Personally, I prefer Mersing Jetty because it has better road conditions.

For bus service from Kuala Lumpur to Tanjong Gemok Jetty, the earlier bus starts at 0730am, the last bus departs from TBS at 11.30 pm. Two bus companies are operating, the fare starts from RM37.50 to RM40. The distance between the bus station and the jetty is about 300 meters.

The third option for Kuala Lumpur to Mersing Jetty transfer is by plane. Unfortunately, Berjaya Air has terminated the direct flight from Kuala Lumpur to Mersing Airport. However, tourists can still transfer to the Mersing jetty by using this route. Book a flight from KLIA or Subang Airport to Senai International Airport. From Senai Airport, get a Taxi to Mersing or Tanjong Gemok Jetty. Travel time to Mersing Jetty is about 2 hours and 3 hours to Tanjung Gemok Jetty.
